United Arab Emirates celebrated its national day on 2nd December. Baluch community living in the UAE participated in the celebration with a mixture of speeches and cultural show.
The Baluch community participation was under the banner of Baluch Cultural Council –UAE which was formed about two years ago to promote Baluchi language and culture there.
The community representatives congratulated the Emirates on their national day and praised their kindness for providing jobs and security to Baluch community who lived there since many years.
Afterwards a Baluchi cultural presentation drew attention and appreciation of many attendees.
Baluch musicians, singers and dancers’ show followed where popular Baluch musicians and singers performed skilfully. A show of traditional dance called ‘do-chappi’ was very much liked.
Amongst the singers were Ali Baluch and Naser Baluch who sang classical Baluchi songs, while Qaderbaksh Baluch and Osman Baluch played classical musical instruments.
There is a similarity between the Baluchi classical poetry with that of Arabs as both tell stories in poetry manner.
The Baluchi Cultural show continued with pop singers Bakshi Baluch, Aslam Asad, Shahjahan Nur, Allahbaksh Wafa and Rashid Hayder performing individually.
In the previous celebrations and cultural presentations in the UAE, the Baluch community was compelled to join Pakistanis and perform as part of Pakistani culture. On this occasion Baluch have proven their unique style amongst the UAE citizens.
The programme was managed by Showkat Dagarani and Jawed Kolbari and continued until midnight local time.
